I’m a TV Fan

Below is a video footage of the 19-year-old and his backup dancers rehearsing their 2009 Grammy Awards performance. It looks like awesome-in-the-making and it’s a real shame we won’t be able to watch Chris perform it. The choreography paired with the columns of light look to be a great combo. Hopefully all of this drama will fade away soon and Chris can get back to the stage and perform his heart out!

Miley Cyrus has taken to her official fan site to issue a heartfelt apology for the racially offensive photograph she took with her friends.

In the picture, Miley is seen using her fingers to make her eyes slant, which is considered degrading to Asian people.

It is the 16 year old’s second apology following the advocate group OCA, a national organization dedicated to advancing the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans, releasing a statement saying the teen set “a terrible example for her many young fans” by “mocking and denigrating individuals of Asian descent.”

On her official fan site, Miley writes: “I want to thank all of my fans for their support not only this week, but always! I really wanted to stress how sorry I am if the photo of me with my friends offended anyone. I have learned a valuable lesson from this and know that sometimes my actions can be unintentionally hurtful. I know everything is a part of GOD’s ultimate plan, and mistakes happen so that eventually I will become the woman he aspires me to be. Peace and love, Miles”

The network announced the field of 13 celebrity competitors Sunday. “Dancing with the Stars” returns for its eighth season March 9 with a two-hour episode.

ABC says pop star Jewel will compete for “bragging rights” in the dance contest against Murray, her champion bull-rider spouse.

Did Chris Brown Beat Rihanna?

2 10, 2009 Author: admin | Filed under: Chris Brown

R&B star Rihanna is cooperating with investigators building a domestic violence case against her boyfriend, the singer Chris Brown, a police source said Monday.

The source said the 20-year-old performer, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was providing “ongoing” cooperation to detectives who booked Brown on Sunday on suspicion of making criminal threats against her.

An early morning altercation with Brown after a pre-Grammy Awards party left Rihanna with bruises and a scratch on her face, according to police sources. She was treated at a “major medical facility,” a police source said.

Brown, 19, has a double-platinum record and dance moves often compared to Michael Jackson’s. He fled before officers arrived, police said. Read the rest of this entry »

T.R. Knight wants to leave Grey’s Anatomy

A person with direct knowledge of the situation has confirmed that T.R. Knight has asked to be released from his contract with “Grey’s Anatomy.”

The actor, who plays Dr. George O’Malley, has asked to leave the ABC medical drama because he is unhappy with his storyline, the person said. Knight has three years left on his contract and the network has indicated it will release him, said the insider, who could not be identified because that person was not authorized to discuss negotiation details.

An ABC representative declined comment.

Entertainment Weekly magazine first reported news of Knight’s request Tuesday in a posting at ew.com. Writer Michael Ausiello quoted a person at ABC who was not identified as saying that the show and “Grey’s” creator Shonda Rhimes were prepared to let the 35-year-old actor go.

CBS Midseason Plan Targets Flashpoint for Fridays

12 3, 2008 Author: admin | Filed under: Schedule

Leaving only ABC and the CW to show their hands, CBS unveiled its laundry list of midseason tweaks on Tuesday, and outside of naming an “official” replacement for The Ex List, there’s little to raise an eyebrow at. In fact, only four days of the week — the Saturday wasteland included — are touched.

Most notably, Flashpoint — this past summer’s top-rated scripted series — returns on Jan. 9, in the Fridays-at-9 slot.

On Feb. 12, the 18th edition of Survivor premieres, in its usual Thursday lead-off position. Three days later, The Amazing Race 14 gets underway, airing Sundays at 8.

Come April 19, Eleventh Hour takes a rest, ceding its choice après-CSI time slot to Harper’s Island, the doomed destination wedding thriller starring Christopher Gorham and Harry Hamlin.

The Eye’s only other add for midseason is Game Show in My Head, a hidden-camera entry from Ashton Kutcher. That will premiere Jan. 3, occupying Saturday’s 8 o’clock hour.

Britney Spears Performs on Good Morning America Circus

12 3, 2008 Author: admin | Filed under: Others

The pop princess celebrated her 27th birthday on Tuesday with an early morning performance on GMA featuring songs off her new album, Circus. Britney’s first number, “Circus,” started off with a bang (and Brit in some hot hot-pants), but the crowd really went wild for her second performance of her hit single “Womanizer.” Was there any live singing? Not so much. Did she dance? Mostly with her hands (um, where’s the thrusting and gyrating Brit we love!). But after Britney revealed she will be kicking off a world tour starting in her home state of Louisiana on March 3 (her first arena tour in five years), you have to give the girl credit for a hell of a comeback. Get a look at the superstar in action during her breakfast-TV performance:

What are your thoughts on Britney’s performance?

How pumped is the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences about its Wednesday night Grammy nomination concert? So pumped that the powers that be have inserted not one, but two exclamation points into the title: The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night.

Try to look past it. We did.

The inelegantly dubbed event (9 pm/ET, CBS) will be the one-stop shop for the 51st Annual Grammy Awards nominees. The concert will mark the first time nominations (in the top categories) have been announced in prime time.

Concert, you say. Who’s performing? Grammy winners new and old, that’s who. Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Foo Fighters, B.B. King and John Mayer will all take to the NOKIA Theatre stage in L.A. Grammy fave Mayer, a five-time winner, will keep the music going with a post-nomination concert that won’t be televised. Gossip Girl mom Kelly Rutherford (aka Lily van der Woodsen), is expecting her second child.

Rutherford, who plays mother to Blake Lively (Serena van der Woodsen) on the CW series, and her entrepreneur husband are already parents to two-year-old Hermès. The couple married in 2006. Rutherford’s next little one is due in June.

Will the actress’ baby on the way impact what’s to come on Gossip’s Upper East Side? It might be time for Serena to get a new (and less lascivious) sib.
